PROJECT BACKGROUND

This Project is the result of merging two Garrison DNA projects. The first was the Garrisson DNA Project that
began in February 2005 and the "Moses Garrison 1737 DNA Project" which began January 09, 2006. On July
18, 2006 the "Garrison's Compass DNA Project" was formed. The Project is open to all GARRISON and
associated Surname DNA Candidates.

Now that we have established the basic framework for the Project, we invite all GARRISON and associated
Surname DNA Candidates to join us in advancing the same. The GARRISON Family Surname has been lost
by some of us, gained at other times by some of us or simply had the spelling changed over time. All are
welcomed here.

MISSION STATEMENT

Creating an open environment that seeks the truth for friends and family members for research, exploration,
learning and application of DNA for genealogy. A welcoming, honest and straight forward information
exchange forum for all following these guiding principles...Search diligently for the truth while being respectful
and helpful to others.

PROJECT GOALS

1. Producing and maintaining an enjoyable experience for all of our participants, their families, the casual
visitor and potential members.

2. Responding to the Participant Member or Candidate in a timely manner regarding any request for
information.

3. Recruiting and retaining viable DNA candidates through known marketing avenues while developing others.

4. Presenting accurate, meaningful data that is well organized and understandable in it's format.

5. Participating in educational activity which will enhance our ability to be helpful, become more perceptive in
our observations and scientific in our approach to analysis.

6. Offering an up to date website that is managed with the viewer in mind and is receptive to advancement.

7. Promoting goodwill and cooperation with other mutually beneficial groups and organizations.

8. Advancing the GARRISON Lines while meeting new relatives and friends to have some fun along the way
(we never met one of our own who would turn that offer down).
