may not be historically correct for the time of the War.
The American flags were taken from a site showing all the variations of the flag.
Veterans (non-combatants) whose service was entirely in peacetime are listed at the very end.

The overall sequence of this section is by state name except that the 13 Original Colonies and Maine and
Vermont are listed in the first section. There are ususally three types of listings: Soldiers who served from...;
Soldiers who lived in ...; and Soldiers who were buried in ... If a Soldier, for example, served from New Jersey, was
found on a list of resident soldiers in Kentucky and then was found to be buried in Illinois he will appear in three
states' listings. Volume of information does not allow for the combining of information for any Soldier.
Remember, this is an Honor Roll, not a source of detailed information for the viewer.
