                                                                                             EXPLANATION

This first page contains links to the various genealogies of Project Ancestors.  As a rule, at least as this website is being
established, these will be "bare-bones" family histories.

The number of generations traced for each family will depend on how much information is supplied by members.  To
keep this from becoming a monstrous project, it is suggested that no family be traced beyond those born after 1900.

The length of some  genealogies will require that they be divided into separate pages for some branches.  Please don't
worry.  The necessary links will be set up so you can navigate easily between the different sections, so easily you will
hardly be aware that you are going to another page.

Another possible way to limit the size of these reports is to trace out only the male lines.  This restriction will not
apply to those members who seek a mt-DNA test.

If a Member has a lot of information for an Ancestor that data will be posted in the Biography section (
which see).  To
save this old Webmaster work please email your data in a format that can easily be posted to this site.  Your name will
be given as the Submitter.

Photographs, primarily those of  Members and their families, are posted in the Photo Thumbnails section (
which see).
Consider this Catch-22 situation: If you tell us to withhold your name from your Lineage but you want your own
photo to be identified we will not be sure what you really want.

To encourage others to join this Project, genealogies of families not yet represented by a member of Garrisons'
Compass will be allowed, subject to the limitations listed in the previous paragraphs.  A list of major families which
need representation will be displayed in the News Page.
