Gerrit Jansen van Oldenburg, alias de Mof, b c1600 Oldenburg, Germany, died New Utrecht, New
Netherlands late in 1661.  He and Clara Matthys (Claertie Tysens) eloped in 1639.  She was born c1610.  
Jacob below was the 5th child.
5. Jacob Gerrits (or Garrison), Sr bp 14 Oct 1646 New Amsterdam Dutch Ch, died 1708/9 Salem Co, NJ
to whence he had moved c1691, having previously lived in New Utrecht and at least from 1688 on Staten
Island.  His surname was variously given in records as Gerritse/ Gerritsen/Garrison, de Muffe and de
haes/Haas/Hause.  He married c1673 Christina Cresson, daughter of Pierre Cresson and Rachel
Clossé/Claus, and widow of Jean Letelier.  Abraham below was the youngest son.
6. Abraham Garrison born 1684 or later, will dtd 19 Aug 1765, proven 22 Oct 1766 Cumberland Co, NJ.  
He married (1) by Mar 1722/3 Elizabeth _____ who apparently was mother of his first five children; (2)
Marcy _____ named in his 1765 will and probably mother of his three youngest.
