Jedediah Garrison, b c1750 probably Carteret Co, NC, d 3 Mar 1830 Franklin (now Banks) Co, GA, bur Mt
Pleasant Meth Ch Cem, now Banks Co; m c1776 Jane Williams. He was in Duplin Co, NC by 1770, in Orange
(now Alamance) Co by 17776, in Greenville Co, SC by the mid-1780's and finally in Franklin Co, GA c1804.

2. Rev Levi Garrison, Meth Min, b 1779 Orange (now Alamance) Co, NC, d aft 1850 Anderson Co,
SC; m by 1805 Martha "Patsy" Meaders, b 1788 SC, d 29 Sep 1866 Anderson Co, SC, d/o John
Meaders; her bro Barney m Levi's sister Jane, and her sis Keziah m Levi's bro Christopher.

David and Levi, above, should not be confused with another set of brothers, also named David
(1800-1882) and Levi (1804-1884) Garrason, who, too, were Methodist Ministers. They were
grandsons of Ebenezer, brother of Jedediah, above, and lived in southern Alabama. Their father
was James, only son of Ebenezer.

3. Thomas Garrison, b 18 Jan 1780 Orange (now Alamance) Co, NC, d 8 May 1864 Banks Co, GA,
bur Mt Pleasant Meth Ch Cem; m1 Nancy Morgan, b 1780s prob NC, d 1830s, bur Mt Pleasant Cem,
mother of 6 ch; m2 1830s Sally Beard, mother of 1 ch; m3 aft 1842 Sarah McMahon, b c1805 SC.

4. Christopher Garrison, b 1781 Orange (now Alamance) Co, NC, d 1811 Franklin (now Banks) Co,
GA; m 20 Sep 1805 Keziah Meaders, d/o Barney Meaders (see note above), she d aft 1820. In this
Christopher's will his name was spelled Garrason. Some researchers mistakenly identify this will as
being that of an older Christopher whom they claim without acceptable proof was father of Jedediah.

5. Rebecca Garrison, b 1783 Orange (now Alamance) Co, NC. Family tradition tells that she m John
Burton and had a son, Samuel Burton, a minister who lived in Hall Co, GA. Unfortunately, neither
printed histories nor the censuses support those reports.

6. Jane Garrison, b 22 Sep 1785 Orange (now Alamance) Co, NC, d 9 Jan 1879 Banks Co, GA, bur
there in Mt Pleasant Meth Ch Cem; m 1805 Barney Meaders, s/o John Meaders (see note above), he
was b 11 Oct 1783 prob VA, d 23 Jun 1861 Banks Co. Both bur Mt Pleasant Meth Ch Cem. Ch:
Jedediah, Christopher, Sarah, John, William J, Nancy, James Jackson, Jane, Mary E, Melinda
P & Melissa Meaders.

7. James Garrison, b 1786 Orange (now Alamance) Co, NC, d 1830s Franklin (now Banks) Co, GA;
m c1802 Catherine "Katie" Morgan, b 1788 NC, d aft 1860 nr Athens, GA. Both bur Dry Pond Meth Ch
Cem, Banks Co. This is the man whose desc insist was named James Caleb Garrison.
However, those of us in the DNA Project have agreed to call him simply James because DNA
test results prove that Caleb, Jr below and Jedediah's sons Thomas & James were brothers.

8. Caleb Garrison, Jr, b 1789/90 Greenville Co, SC, d 15 Jan 1862 Conway Co, AR, bur there in Mt
Pleasant Cem; m1 11 Oct 1808 in Franklin Co to Rachel Box, d 1852 Cherokee Co, GA, d/o Michael
Box & Mary Bolton; m2 bef 1860 Sarah _____ who survived him. He was called "Junior" to
distinguish him from an older Caleb Garrison (called Sr, but not his father) who lived in
Franklin Co at the same time.
