                                               Suggestions for Submitting Biographies

Biographies are designed to contain those additional details that are too voluminous to be included in the
small blocks used for each person in Genealogies.  They are subject to a some strict rules.

1. They must be submitted to the Webmaster by email and be in a copy/paste condition.  No editing will be
provided by the Webmaster.  He cannot key in your article from snail-mail or an emailed document in other
formats.

2. They must be in an acceptable and respectable format.  The right to refuse a rambling document is
reserved.

3. If your document refutes claims made by others, please put your argument in "gentlemanly" terms.
Failure to do so will result in rejection of the entire article.  If you are at odds with a biography already
posted, write your own and submit it.  We will post it separately with your name as author so viewers can
compare the two opinions.

4. Do not submit a copyrighted article.   If you do use some copyright material give the author credit right in
your write-up.  Document your paper in as much detail as you can.  That will make it more scholarly and
believable.

5. Submit corrections to previously posted articles "en mass", that is, do not ask me to read the posted
article and change a date of 1771 to 1717.  I will attempt to post your corrections at the bottom of your
original article.

6.  Be sure to give the name of the author of your article.  No anonymous articles will be published.  All will
be identified.

Biographies will be posted alphabetically within each Family Group or subgroup as the case may be.  The
links to the first page of each biographical page appear above.
